Learn German, Level 1 - Part 1
Have you ever thought about learning a different language other than English? Get started with German Level 1 at SGSCC. Gain basic knowledge of the German language by understanding its structure and how it is used practice all explained to you step by step.
This course is based on the acquisition of German paying attention to conversational skills, German grammar, spelling and right pronunciation. But you’ll also learn about the German culture and some typical German traditions. This course is geared to the potential tourist, business person and those wishing to improve communication with German friends and family. No matter why you want to learn German or whether you just have a passion for German language, in that course you will be taught basic, practical knowledge of the German language so you will be able to have a basic conversation, understand and read easy texts and prepare you for small talk and situations in real life.
Level 1, 6 month’s prior learning of the language necessary.

Language Bundle:
- All language classes/levels are delivered as Part 1 and Part 2 across two terms. To maximise your chance of learning we recommend enrolling into both parts 1 and 2.

About the tutor:
My name is Sigrid and I have a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and also an Advanced Diploma of Accounting. I am a native speaker and lived and worked in Germany for over 30 years before coming to Australia in the year 2000. I run my own business as a bookkeeper and BAS Agent since 2007 and I have taught children German at the German Saturday School for a few years as well adults at the college.
I am teaching courses for the accounting software MYOB and Xero as well as a theory course called Accounting for Non-Accountants. I have a passion for bookkeeping and enjoy passing my knowledge on.
I am also teaching German and looking forward to improving your German communication skills. Although there will be a bit of grammar, the focus is on informal speaking and preparation for your travel to a beautiful country. I am looking forward to talking to you in German. Sigrid

- To ensure resources are ready for you at the start of your course, we ask you ideally enrol at least one week before the course commences.
- All courses need a minimum number of students to run ("we try our hardest to get those") . If your course does not have enough students it will be cancelled prior to the commencement and you will be informed.
