International how to enrol
How to Enrol: Your 7 steps to studying in Sydney
Ready to start your study journey with SGSCC International? Once you have chosen your course, enrolling is simple. Just follow these seven easy steps, and our friendly international team will guide you the whole way.
Step 1: Review your course and the details
Start by reading everything about your course, SGSCC International, and our Conditions of Enrolment. Taking a little time now helps you feel confident that you are choosing the right course and the right study pathway for you.
Step 2: Complete your online application
When you are ready, complete your application online through VETenrol and fill in all the fields.
Have these documents ready to upload:
- A copy of your passport
- A copy of your visa status and expiry date (if you are applying from within Australia)
- Academic transcripts from your previous studies (from Australia and overseas, where you have them)
- Proof of your English level and study, including your IELTS score
- Your completed Statement of Purpose questionnaire (pages 2 to 4 of the Enrolment Pack)
- An up-to-date copy of your CV (resume)
- A release letter (if you are applying from within Australia)
- Your current CoEs (if you are applying from within Australia)
- Evidence that you can cover your tuition and living costs
Step 3: Receive your Letter of Offer and Written Agreement
Once we receive your application, we email you an Overseas Student Letter of Offer and a Written Student Agreement. We also recommend you read our Pre-Enrolment Guide, so you know what to expect before you accept.
Please read all of these carefully and check every detail is correct. If everything looks right, sign and return your Letter of Offer and Written Agreement. This is a legal agreement that sets out our terms and conditions, and by law we keep a copy on file (National Code 2018, Standard 3).
One important thing to know: your Letter of Offer does not secure your place yet. Your place is confirmed only after your payment is processed and your Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) is issued. If any documents are missing, we will send you a conditional offer first and a full offer once everything is complete.
Step 4: Make your payment
After you have accepted and signed your Letter of Offer and Written Agreement, you make your payment. You can pay by:
- Credit card (Visa or MasterCard) at the college reception, or by completing our Credit Card Authorisation Form (contact the college to request it).
- Telegraphic transfer to our college account. Our international team will provide you with the current bank details when you accept your offer. Please add your student ID number and surname as the payment reference.
Then simply scan and email your payment receipt, along with your signed Letter of Offer and Written Agreement, to your enrolling officer.
Step 5: Receive your Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE)
Once we confirm your payment, we issue your CoE and email it straight to you. Your CoE is the key document you need for your student visa application.
Step 6: Apply for your student visa
With your CoE ready, you can apply for your Student visa (Subclass 500) through the Department of Home Affairs. For advice about your visa, always speak with Home Affairs or a registered migration agent.
Step 7: Arrive and start your studies
The exciting part. Arrive in Australia, join your orientation, and begin building your skills at SGSCC International. Welcome. We cannot wait to meet you.
