1. When do classes run?
Our Leisure & Lifestyle courses run throughout the term, with classes commencing at various times depending on the course.
Term 3, 2026: Monday 20 July to Sunday 27 September
- 10-week classes commence from Monday 20 July
- 8-week classes commence from Monday 27 July
Term 4, 2026: Monday 12 October to Sunday 20 December
- 10-week classes commence from Monday 12 October
- 8-week classes commence from Monday 19 October

2. How do I enrol?
Enrolling is easy. Simply browse our course categories, select the course you'd like to join and enrol online. Prefer to speak with someone? Our friendly team is happy to help on (02) 9528 3344.
3. How do I choose the right course?
Whether you're looking to learn a new skill, pursue a creative passion, improve your wellbeing or meet new people, our course categories and detailed descriptions can help you find the right fit for your interests and goals.
4. Do I need any experience?
Not at all. Many of our Leisure & Lifestyle courses are designed for beginners. If prior knowledge or experience is required, this will be clearly outlined in the course description.
5. How do I know if a course is suitable for beginners?
Each course page includes an overview and course outline that clearly explain the expected skill level, learning outcomes and any prerequisites. If a course is suitable for beginners, this will be highlighted in the course description so you can enrol with confidence.
6. What do I need to bring?
Any materials, equipment or special requirements will be listed in the course description. Your tutor may also contact you before class with additional information if required.
7. Are course materials included?
This varies from course to course. Where materials are included in the course fee, this will be noted in the course description. Some classes may require you to bring or purchase your own supplies.
8. Can I join if I'm a senior learner?
Absolutely. Our classes welcome adult learners of all ages, backgrounds and experience levels. Whether you're trying something new or returning to a long-held interest, you'll find a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
9. What happens if I need to cancel my enrolment?
We understand that plans can change. Cancellation and refund options are available in accordance with SGSCC's enrolment terms and conditions. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to make changes to your enrolment.
10. Are classes held on campus or online?
All Leisure & Lifestyle courses are delivered face-to-face, creating opportunities to learn new skills, meet like-minded people, and enjoy the social benefits of learning in a welcoming community environment.
11. How long do courses run for?
Course lengths vary, from single-session workshops to multi-week classes. You'll find information about course duration and schedules on each course page.
12. What if my chosen course is full?
If a course has reached capacity, you may be able to join a waiting list. If additional places become available or a new class is scheduled, we'll let you know.
13. Is parking available?
Yes. Enjoy a stress-free visit with free onsite parking, a large untimed public car park diagonally opposite the College, and plenty of free street parking nearby. See Jannali Venue Map and/or Jannali Parking Map.
14. Are there any concessions or discounts available?
Eligible learners can access either a 5% Seniors Card discount or a $25 concession for Centrelink or Veterans' Affairs recipients, helping make lifelong learning even more accessible and affordable.
15. Will I receive a certificate?
A Certificate of Attendance can be provided on request following completion of your course.
