Nationally Recognised Training

SGSCC Vocational Education is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO 7091), registered with the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA). When you train with us, you earn a qualification that counts, anywhere in Australia. Here is what that means for you.

A qualification employers trust.  Your Certificate or Statement of Attainment carries the Nationally Recognised Training (NRT) logo and is recognised by employers and training organisations right across the country. Study here, and your qualification travels with you.

Skills the industry actually wants.  Our training is competency based, so you are assessed against the real standards set by industry. When you finish you can genuinely do the job, not just pass a test. You need to be marked Competent in every unit to earn your qualification, and if you are not quite there yet, you get another go.

Which qualification is right for you?

Not sure what a Certificate III or a Diploma actually means? Here is a simple guide to the levels, what you can do at each one, and how you can climb from one to the next. You do not have to start at the beginning. Begin at the level that matches your goal, and go as far as you like.

Your progression map     Higher qualifications, more responsibility  ↑

Graduate Certificate - Specialise at the top of your field. Advanced, focused expertise for senior practice and leadership.
Advanced Diploma - Senior and management-level work. Deep specialist knowledge, complex problem solving, and managing a team.
Diploma - Specialist and coordinator roles. Analyse situations, design solutions, and lead and support a team.
Certificate IV - Step up and take on more. Give advice, solve less predictable problems, and supervise a small team.
Certificate III - The main entry qualification for many careers. Work independently with real skills and handle routine and non-routine tasks. Where many care and support careers start.
Certificate II - Get ready for work. Follow clear routines, use everyday workplace equipment, and step into entry-level roles.
Certificate I - The perfect first step. Build the basic skills and confidence for work, everyday life and further study.

Start where you are and climb  ↑

Each level builds on the one before it. Many people start with a Certificate III, gain some experience, then step up to a Certificate IV, a Diploma and beyond. Not sure where to start? Talk to us and we will help you find the right level for you.

Already have skills or study behind you?

You may not have to do it all again, and it could lower your fee. Apply before you enrol and we will check.

  • Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). We assess your existing skills, knowledge and experience against the course, using your evidence and a short interview. We give you an RPL Kit to guide you.
  • Credit Transfer. If you have already been marked Competent for the same unit at another Australian RTO, we can credit it towards your course.

Please apply for and confirm RPL or Credit Transfer before you enrol. See the Student Vocational Assessment Guide for how assessment works and how to apply.

Our honest promise

We will always be straight with you. We cannot promise that you will pass, or that you will land a particular job, because your qualification depends on you being marked Competent in every unit. What we do promise is quality training, fair assessment and genuine support to help you get there. And if we ever stop delivering your course, we will tell you straight away and make sure your training is protected so you can complete it.
