Social Club
Welcome to our Social Club, a fun and engaging course designed for adults looking to connect, learn, and enjoy a range of social activities. Participants are encouraged to take an active role in planning a diverse mix of weekly activities, from trivia and board games to bowling, nature walks, and coffee dates at local cafes. Each term, we also celebrate a few international days, like World Kindness Day or International Cheese Day, adding unique moments to our schedule.
This course provides a supportive environment for building friendships, enhancing social skills, and fostering personal growth, as students collaborate to design their social experiences. Every session promotes inclusivity, encouraging participants to step out of their comfort zones, try new activities, and build lasting connections. About the Tutor:
Hi, I’m Belinda McKay, a passionate tutor in the adult community sector. Known as an adventurous and caring people person, I’m always ready to lend a helping hand. I’m a proud mother of four and a devoted “fur mum” as well. With three years of experience in disability support, my background spans eight years in medical reception and thirteen years as a beauty therapist and business owner. My commitment to helping others also extends into my personal life; I’ve volunteered for nearly 30 years in children’s and youth ministries, leading camps, youth groups, Sunday school, and women’s ministries, and actively participating in school P&C events and fundraisers. I strive to make a positive impact in the lives of those who need it most, finding joy in the water, on bush walks, and through quality time with family and friends.
