Course Outline:
- Introduction to paper flower making and overview of materials
- Preparing the flower centre using crepe paper and wire
- Creating stamens and attaching them to the centre
- Cutting, shaping, and curling poppy petals
- Assembling petals around the centre for natural placement
- Covering the stem with green crepe paper strips
- Final adjustments, finishing touches, and tips for display

About the Tutor:
'Julie Lee is a paper flower artist and the founder of Petite Blossoms, a creative studio based in Sydney. She studied ceramics, art and crafts in college, which laid the foundation for her love of working with different materials and forms. With years of experience designing and handcrafting flowers for wedding bouquets, events, and bespoke commissions, Julie specialises in working with Italian crepe paper to create lifelike blooms that celebrate the beauty of nature. Her work has been cherished by clients both locally and internationally.
Julie is passionate about sharing the therapeutic and joyful aspects of paper flower making. She has taught workshops in community settings and online, helping beginners discover their creativity through simple, step-by-step guidance. Her teaching style is warm, encouraging, and practical, ensuring every student leaves with both new skills and a beautiful handmade flower.'
