Learn to Stand Up Paddle Board (SUP)

Stand-up paddleboarding is the new water sport craze hitting the waterways and beaches of Australia and this is your chance to be involved. This fun sport involves standing up on a wide and stable board and paddling through the water. This 1.5-hour session is for beginners and will be conducted on flat water for the first hour covering technique and safety with the instructor and then 30 mins afterwards to practise your skills. All gear hire is included. Absolutely no surfing or paddling skills are involved – just swimming ability and moderate fitness.

Our main base is in the Bonnie Vale picnic grounds in Bundeena. If arriving by ferry, we are a leisurely 15-minute walk from the wharf. If driving, turn at the second street on your left in Bundeena. Please note that the picnic grounds are a part of the Royal National Park. To avoid paying a park entry fee, you will need to park your car outside the gate to Bonnie Vale and walk to the water (about 100 metres).

What to bring:

Please wear a wetsuit or thermals, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, towel, water bottle and change of clothes, lunch/snacks, and a pen and paper.
Strictly no refunds for non-attendance as the organisation of catering and kayak provision is included in the course cost.
