Kayaking - Bundeena Beaches and Royal National Park

Enjoy coastal paddling along glorious stretches of sandy beaches and into the Royal National Park. With an experienced guide at hand, learn about the plants and animals that call the water and bush home. Stop off for a delicious morning tea before the return trip. All gear, basic technique guidance, and morning tea provided.

Our main base is in the Bonnie Vale picnic grounds in Bundeena. If arriving by ferry, we are a leisurely 15-minute walk from the wharf. If driving, turn at the second street on your left in Bundeena. Please note that the picnic grounds are a part of the Royal National Park. To avoid paying a park entry fee, you will need to park your car outside the gate to Bonnie Vale and walk to the water (about 100 metres).

What to bring:

Please wear warm clothing and bring along a towel, water bottle and a change of clothes.

Prerequisite:

Participants should possess previous paddling experience and all participants must be competent swimmers and reasonably fit.

Strictly no refunds for non-attendance as the organisation of catering and kayak provision is included in the course cost.

About the Tutor:

“I have owned and operated a kayaking and paddleboarding business since 2000 and am an experienced and qualified guide and instructor. I enjoy paddling recreationally and have competed at an international level in Dragon Boat racing events. Having spent thousands of hours exploring the Port Hacking Waterway and Royal National Park, I have accumulated a wealth of knowledge about the area and the wildlife that call the water and bushland home.” Bruce
