Anime Art - Ages 9 - 15 St George & Sutherland Community College

Anime Art - Ages 9 - 15

Learn how to draw anime cartoon characters. In this Anime Art Workshop, you will learn about the Japanese contemporary style of cartooning known as Anime, which features large colourful eyes, pointed chins, stylised hair, and quirky expressions. This interesting form of cartooning is very popular among today’s youth due to its simplicity, uniqueness and exaggerated features.

Although this form of animation appeals to young people, anime has become a widespread form of digital art in the gaming and animation industries and appeals to both young and not so young alike.

The workshop includes tutor led demonstration and drawing exercises that will teach you how to create different facial expressions in the form of this animation style.
