This course is designed for those who would like to continue on from Learn Japanese for Beginners, Part 1, or have previous Japanese knowledge. Our native Japanese-speaking tutor is happy to provide you with a sound foundation for the basics of the Japanese language and its pronunciation. This is a very practical Japanese communication course for total beginners. A communicative method is applied in this course and you will enjoy speaking Japanese from the very first day! A lot of interactive activities and actual classroom communication are used to develop your communication skills.

The course contents of Part 2 are listed below. You will also learn reading/writing of Katakana introduced in Part 2. The Japanese cultural information relevant to language use is provided throughout the course.

Course Outline:

• Review of the Japanese Beginners – Part 1
• Asking time, business hours, day off (7 days of the week), month & date
• Pointing to ask about a thing near/far
• Asking the location/direction
• Shopping
• Ordering food/drink
• Hiragana writing
• Introduction of Katakana
• Japanese cultural information

Prerequisite:

• You need to have completed Japanese for Beginners – Part 1 to enrol in this class or demonstrate your relevant ‘level’ through a conversation with the tutor prior to enrolling.
