Early Childhood Education and Care Trainer
"SGSCC has a great sense of community and belonging."
What did you do prior to joining SGSCC?
Prior to joining SGSCC I trained the Diploma in Early Childhood Education and care at a Privately Owned RTO. I am also the approved provider for four Early Childhood Services, where I oversee the management of staff families and children’s educational practices.
What do you like best about working at SGSCC?
SGSCC has a great sense of community and belonging. This structure resinates with my own professional pedagogical philosophy. With reference to the Early Years Learning Framework, as early childhood educators, creating a 'sense of community' is an important part of what we do. It is integral to the core themes of belonging and identity. For this reason working in an organisation that fosters this is crucial to my own ideologies.
What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about allowing children’s voices to be heard. Heard is the sense of keeping them safe, Heard in the sense of being their advocate and heard in the sense of guiding their learning and documentation.
