Xero - Manage Your Business On The Go

Xero is an online accounting software for small businesses.

In this course you will learn:

  • How to navigate the dashboard
  • How to enter company settings and customise the chart of accounts
  • Create customer and supplier contacts
  • Manage purchases and make payments including batch payments
  • Manage sales and receive payments including batch payments
  • Use the bank feed
  • Reconcile bank accounts

As Xero is a cloud-based accounting program it is important that each student has signed up to Xero (either a full subscription or the trial version, which will last for 30 days) and has access to it, as we are using the demo company that is provided by Xero.

About the tutor:

My name is Sigrid and I have a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and also an Advanced Diploma of Accounting. I am a native speaker and lived and worked in Germany for over 30 years before coming to Australia in the year 2000. I run my own business as a bookkeeper and BAS Agent since 2007 and I have taught children German at the German Saturday School for a few years as well adults at the college.

I am teaching courses for the accounting software MYOB and Xero as well as a theory course called Accounting for Non-Accountants. I have a passion for bookkeeping and enjoy passing my knowledge on.

Other Information:

  • To ensure resources are ready for you at the start of your course, we ask you ideally enrol at least one week before the course commences.
  • All courses need a minimum number of students to run ("we try our hardest to get those") . If your course does not have enough students it will be cancelled before the commencement and you will be informed.
