The Training Design Skill Set is designed for educators, instructional designers, and VET professionals who are responsible for creating high-quality, compliant training and assessment resources. 

Whether you’re developing programs for your own delivery, your RTO, or an organisation-wide rollout, this nationally recognised skill set equips you with the skills to design training that is engaging, learner-focused, and fully aligned with training package requirements. 

By completing this skill set, you’ll learn to:

  • Analyse vocational outcomes and learner needs
  • Use nationally endorsed training products to build programs that meet AQF and industry expectations
  • Design structured learning plans and materials that support diverse learner cohorts
  • Develop training that is both meaningful and measurable

Units of Competency (UoC)

This skill set includes the following nationally recognised units: 

  • TAEDES411 – Use nationally recognised training products to meet vocational training needs
  • TAEDES412 – Design and develop plans for vocational training

Upon successful completion, you will receive a Statement of Attainment for these units.

Pathways Information

The units in this skill set provide credit towards the TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and may also contribute to other qualifications within the TAE Training and Education Training Package.
