Learn Spanish for Beginners - Part 2

The Learn Spanish for Beginner’s – Part 2 course is a continuing of Spanish Beginners' - Part 1. This course is designed for those who would like to continue on from Beginners part 1, or have previous Spanish knowledge. Our native Spanish-speaking tutor is happy to provide you with a sound foundation for the basics of the Spanish language and its pronunciation. There is no doubt, Spanish is one of the most important languages in the world, and its importance is bound to increase even further. Globalization of the economy, international travel and the growing Hispanic population in many areas make speaking Spanish a necessity.

The Beginners course has been designed to teach students to use and understand familiar Spanish expressions and simple phrases to satisfy basic needs. SGSCC Beginners Language courses are Entry Level, meaning no prior knowledge is required.

Course Outline:

What you will Learn:

  • Regular and irregular verbs in the present tense.
  • Identify people, places and objects.
  • Describing people, places, objects, and states.
  • Compare people, objects, places, situations, and actions.
  • Express reasons for studying Spanish.
  • Refer to habitual or current actions.
  • Have the confidence to carry a basic conversation.

Prerequisite:

  • You need to have completed Spanish For Beginners – Part 1 to enrol in this class or demonstrate your relevant ‘level’ through a conversation with the tutor prior to enrolling.

Materials:

  • You will be advised on what book to purchase for this course at your first session
  • Pen and paper

About our Tutors:

Lourdes – Lourdes has been a tutor with SGSCC for over 20 years. She is a qualified Spanish teacher who keeps her skills up to date by attending different courses.
She has self-published her Spanish for Travellers book which is used in the travellers course she designed.

Her courses are very popular because of the variety of resources she uses. She is
proud of her loyal student base with many re-enrolling in her classes, term after term, year after year. She believes to have the best job in the world because it allows her not only to impart the knowledge of her native language, but also to instill an interest for her culture.

  • To ensure resources are ready for you at the start of your course, we ask you ideally enrol at least one week before the course commences.
  • All courses need a minimum number of students to run ("we try our hardest to get those") . If your course does not have enough students it will be cancelled before the commencement and you will be informed.
