In this level the emphasis is on conversation based on a more varied and extensive vocabulary’s knowledge suited to most everyday situations. While in Italy speak Italian! Grammar and pronunciation are also included.

Level 7, approximately 3 1/2 year’s prior learning of the language necessary.

Course Outline;

• Verbs Imperfect tense and Gerund.
• Conjugation of irregular verbs: dare and fare (to give and to do).
• Direct object pronouns.
• Articled prepositions.
• Making phone calls.

Learning Outcomes:

• Answer the phone, leave messages, arrange meetings.
• Issue invitations and make plans.
• Use idioms with dare and fare.
• Express pleasure, joy, worry, sorrow.

About the tutor:

Arsenia Neirotti was born in Torino, Italy, where she also completed her studies. She has a great passion for the Italian language which she enjoys sharing with her students. Her love for her language prompted her to specialise in Adult Education and has been teaching at the SGSCC for the past 28 years. Her main interests are Italian Renaissance Art and Opera which she has enthusiastically presented in her Italian Culture workshops. Arsenia firmly believes that learning should be fun at any age so join her and have a great time.
