Floral Botanical Watercolour for Beginners - New!
This 6-hour watercolour workshop introduces participants to the fundamentals of painting flowers and foliage using accessible techniques. Suitable for complete beginners and those continuing from the Floral Botanical Drawing or Ocean Watercolour for Beginners courses, it offers a welcoming environment for anyone interested in developing their watercolour skills and exploring botanical subjects.
We’ll begin with basic techniques such as wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, and layering to create soft blends and natural textures. You’ll learn how to sketch simple floral shapes and leaves as painting guides, and how to mix colours to achieve beautiful, botanical-inspired palettes. As the workshop progresses, we’ll bring the individual elements together into a simple floral arrangement—building your confidence and encouraging creative expression along the way. Whether you’re continuing from a previous drawing or ocean-themed course, or just starting out, this session is a fun and inspiring way to grow your watercolour skills.
By the end of the day, you’ll walk away with a completed floral watercolour piece, new techniques you can continue exploring at home, and a sense of creative joy and accomplishment!
