Drawing & Painting - From the Visual World - Beginners

Drawing from the visible world using a variety of drawing materials (charcoal, pencil, pen and ink, conte) and drawing techniques (tone, form, shape, gesture, texture, contour as a form of individual expression and to encourage experimentation). This is a basic introduction to painting with the very versatile medium of acrylic paint. Designed for those who wish to gain an understanding of the techniques and application of acrylic paint and be introduced to the elements of colour, design, and composition.

Focusing on acrylic painting and the creative expression students will be stimulated by the visual world through drawings, photographs, still, life, and other artist’s work and encouraged to create their style of painting.
