Computer Basics 3

This course will help you to create simple formatted text documents in Microsoft Word, then email those documents using Microsoft Outlook. These are essential skills needed to operate your personal computer at home, on the go or in the workplace.

Basic knowledge of Computer Basics 1 & 2 is assumed

In this course you will learn :

  • How to open and navigate around Word – using the ribbon and customising the quick access toolbar
  • How to create and format a basic text document using Microsoft Word
  • How to open and save your document
  • How to change the page layout- page size, orientation, margins, page colour and page borders
  • How to insert a picture into your Word document
  • How to print your Microsoft Word document.
  • How to email and organise messages in Microsoft Outlook
  • How to attach documents to messages in Microsoft Outlook

  • To ensure resources are ready for you at the start of your course, we ask you ideally enrol at least one week before the course commences.
  • All courses need a minimum number of students to run ("we try our hardest to get those") . If your course does not have enough students it will be cancelled before the commencement and you will be informed.
