Beyond the Brush: Intermediate Watercolour Studio - New!
Take your watercolour practice to the next level in this inspiring and skill-enriching studio course guided by artist and educator Arafat Hosen, who brings over 16 years of teaching experience in fine art and adult education.
This intermediate course is designed for students who already understand foundational watercolour techniques and are ready to deepen their confidence, creative voice, and technical control. Through guided demonstrations and structured experimentation, participants will refine brush handling, water control, glazing, tonal layering, and colour harmony.
The course encourages exploration of expressive effects including wet-on-wet atmospheres, textured surfaces, lifting techniques, dynamic mark-making, and compositional balance. Alongside technical development, Arafat integrates mindfulness into the creative process — encouraging presence, observation, and reflection.
Students will explore how painting can become both a disciplined craft and a personal journey. Individual feedback and collaborative studio dialogue foster growth in a supportive and engaging environment.
