Acrylics Unlocked: Four Paintings in Four Weeks - New!
Have you always wanted to paint but never known where to start? Or perhaps you have picked up a brush before and want to build your confidence? This friendly, relaxed course is designed for complete beginners and those with a little experience. Over four Wednesday evenings, you will learn the basics of acrylic painting step by step and finish a complete painting each week.
Each session begins with a short, clear demonstration, then you paint at your own pace while your tutor moves around the room offering help and encouragement. In week one you will paint a sunset over water and learn how to mix colours from a small palette. In week two you will tackle a still life and discover how light and shade bring objects to life. Week three takes you outdoors, in paint, with an Australian landscape that explores depth and distance. In the final week you choose your own subject, such as a pet, a favourite place or a photograph, and put everything you have learned into practice.
There is no pressure and no judgement, just good company, a creative atmosphere and plenty of laughs. Those with some experience will be offered extra challenges to stretch their skills. You will leave with four paintings and the confidence to keep going.
