Dog Training Classes Foundation Skills - 6 to 12 months of Age

So, you may have missed puppy school and your dog is getting older, but can you still teach an old dog new tricks? Yes, you can teach an old dog new tricks and manners! We will use Positive reinforcement training methods, which is a humane and gentle way to guide your dog. This will give your dog the confidence and guidance to become the well-trained dog you always knew s/he could be!
Course Introduction:
Juvenile (6-12 months)
Must follow ALL instructions given by the Instructor
Dogs must have a secure collar and must be on a lead at all times
Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult
Owners must be in control of their dog and not allow interaction with other dogs before or after class without the Instructors permission.
Enclosed shoes must be worn whilst at training - WHS requirement
Clean up after your puppies
Smoking is not permitted
Mobile phones to be on silent

Learning Outcomes:
A dog who will pay attention to you.
A dog that will not jump on people.
A dog that will allow you to groom and have vet checks done without stress.
Please do not feed your dog as they will work for their food during class

I also give my time to conduct behavioural assessments of dogs for a rescue organisation and guide and support the Foster carers and their rescue puppies and dogs with any needs that arise.'
Qualifications attained:
Certificate IV in Companion Animal Services with the Delta Institute (Nationally accredited training course)
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
Other Information:
To ensure resources are ready for you at the start of your course, we ask you ideally enrol at least one week before the course commences.
All courses need a minimum number of students to run (“we try our hardest to get those”) . If your course does not have enough students it will be cancelled before the commencement and you will be informed.
