Writing - Creative, Persuasive and Informative Years 2 - 6

This Writing program has been devised to cater to the educational needs of students who wish to become effective and confident communicators in the written word. Professional specialist teachers will help your child realise their full potential through formal instruction in small class settings. Throughout the program, the students will be shown how to create well-structured creative, informative, and persuasive texts in terms of topic, purpose, audience, and language by drafting, proofreading, and editing for familiar and unfamiliar audiences.

The students will practice the correct usage of simple and complex sentences, paragraphing, and punctuation and grammatical features characteristic of the various texts to support meaning. Students will be shown how to best tackle the spelling of familiar and unfamiliar words using knowledge of letter-sound correspondence, regular and irregular spelling patterns, spelling rules and a range of other strategies.
