Do you need help threading your overlocker? Whether you have purchased a new overlocker and need to learn how to thread it correctly, or are having problems rethreading your overlocker, this is the perfect quick course for you. Overlockers are amazing machines but can be difficult to thread and cause people a great deal of frustration, we will cover the essentials to threading your overlocker.

Course Outline:

In the 5 hours you will learn how to:

  • Thread your overlocker
  • How to set tensions correctly when threading
  • The role of the tension and needle dials and threading
  • Tips and tricks for correct threading

Learning Outcomes:

  • The ability to thread your overlocker for home use

What to bring:

  • Overlocker and foot pedal
  • Machine instruction manual
  • Four spools of white overlocking thread
  • Half a metre of calico
  • Notepad and pen to write down notes

My journey has been enriched by owning and operating my own sewing store. This venture has allowed me to access specialized training and delve into unique sewing skills and techniques while continuously pursuing training on various sewing machine brands and overlockers.

  • To ensure resources are ready for you at the start of your course, we ask you ideally enrol at least one week before the course commences.
  • All courses need a minimum number of students to run ("we try our hardest to get those") . If your course does not have enough students it will be cancelled before the commencement and you will be informed.
