Improve your English writing skills for the workplace. Writing for business reasons can be difficult. The ability to write well is a skill that will get you a long way in the workplace. Learn to use English to make your message clear and easy to understand.

Workshop Content:

This content may vary slightly depending on class needs;

  • Writing structures - Sentence length, sentence structure, and paragraphing
  • Using clear and direct language – choosing your words carefully
  • Understanding the difference between formal and informal business language
  • Tools to use to help your writing
  • Email structures for different occasions
  • Reports - how to structure a good report

To be confident in your writing for diverse workplace situations and therefore communication in general.

Students will be required to bring the following:

  • Pen
  • Paper

All other resources are provided:

  • Students are welcome to bring in examples of their own written work for feedback from the teacher.

WHO IS THIS WORKSHOP FOR?

This course is for students who are currently working, or preparing to work, in a professional environment. If English is not your first language it does not have to be perfect but you should have a reasonably fluent level of English.
