STEP - Sports and Fitness

Set yourself a fitness goal in the first session and measure your current level of fitness. All progress during the term will be recorded in a training booklet to track your progression towards achieving your personal goals. Some fitness sessions will include using equipment in our SGSCC gym and other sessions will be sports, games, or Bootcamp type exercise in the open spaces. Enhance your wellbeing and your health. Gain skills in healthy eating, good sleep, fitness, social interactions, mindfulness, and meditation. The STEP program is for persons with an intellectual disability. Each course runs for 2 hours per week. [More]

STEP - Sewing

Using a needle and thread, hand-sew a project of your own. Select fabrics, ribbons, or laces to decorate your project using embroidery, sequencing, quilting, or applique. Create something beautiful for yourself or make a gift for someone special. Sewing requires you to focus, both physically and mentally on the task and helps to develops hand-eye coordination.
