Yoga & Relaxation - Beginners to Intermediate

Join us at SGSCC for this fun and relaxing beginner to intermediate yoga class! So come along for this yoga practice and maintain strength and wellbeing; physically and mentally. Building a sound body and mind helps attain inner peace and happiness.

This 1.5 hour Hatha Yoga style class includes the basic five categories of asanas (yoga postures – standing, sitting, resting, backbends, and balancing) and pranayama (breathing exercises). The postures manipulate the energy of your body to help bring peace to the mind and body, preparing the body for meditation. The class concludes with a deep relaxation practice called Yoga Nidra.

What to bring:

  • Yoga mat
  • Towel and/or blanket.

Additional Information:

A sound yoga regimen involves the intake of nutritious food, however, it is recommended not to eat two hours before class. Please ensure you arrive at the class well hydrated.
All pregnant students should inform their teacher before commencing class.

Other Information:

  • To ensure resources are ready for you at the start of your course, we ask you ideally enrol at least one week before the course commences.
  • All courses need a minimum number of students to run ("we try our hardest to get those") . If your course does not have enough students it will be cancelled prior to the commencement and you will be informed.
