Resin Earrings for Beginners St George & Sutherland Community College

Resin Earrings for Beginners

In this beginner two-part course, you will learn the basics of making your own unique resin earrings. In Session 1, you will learn what epoxy resin is, how to weigh, mix, add colour and elements to the resin and how long you need to allow the resin to cure. We’ll be using silicone earring moulds to create endless design combinations and you’ll have an opportunity to browse through some sample earrings for ideas and inspiration. Then you are free to experiment and create your very own designs.

In Session 2, you will learn how to clean and sand your cured resin pieces, how to attach the earring backings and jump rings and assemble your earrings. How many pairs of earrings will I make, I hear you ask? That’s a hard question to answer because it’s always down to the individual and how much detail and effort they put into their earrings. You could make 6 pairs of earrings or a lot more. Just remember that creativity cannot be rushed and quality over quantity is always the better option. Come alone or bring some friends with you and discover your creative side, as you immerse yourself in a cloud of creativity for a few hours. Light refreshments included.
