Perspective Drawing Workshop St George & Sutherland Community College

Perspective Drawing Workshop

Learn the principles of Perspective Drawing. Perspective is the art of representing three-dimensional objects on a two-dimensional surface to give the right impression of their height, width, depth, and position about each other. Perspective Drawing is critical in creating two-dimensional art of the world around us, and this interesting and thought-provoking creative workshop will help you to view your environment differently.

Perspective can be challenging because it changes our perception and understanding of how we see things, however, once the principles are understood, this one-day Perspective Drawing Workshop will help you to draw buildings and landscapes in the correct proportion. Learning to apply the principles of perspective drawing is a valuable skill in sketching, painting, technical drawing such as architecture and drafting, and urban design. This workshop which includes a PowerPoint presentation, tutor demonstration and instruction, handouts, and drawing exercises is both stimulating and enjoyable. Students have found learning about Perspective Drawing to be a very rewarding experience.
