Learn how to grow vegetables and fruit organically at home in a backyard or on a balcony. Maximise your site’s potential using permaculture principals. Convert your waste into fertiliser, save or sow your seeds, save money and become more self-sufficient. A visit to a permaculture garden will be discussed in class.

Week 1 Introduction to Permaculture. Design overview
Week 2 Review Individual garden design. Consider Improvements.
Week 3 Soils, Composts, worms mulches, irrigation
Week 4 Raising seedlings successfully from seed. Seed saving
Week 5 Organic pest and weed management. A-Z of vegetables
Week 6 Organic fertilizer, waste management. Perennial vegetables and herbs
Week 7 Fruit trees for Sydney

7 class sessions + garden tour

Other Information:

  • To ensure resources are ready for you at the start of your course, we ask you ideally enrol at least one week before the course commences.
  • All courses need a minimum number of students to run ("we try our hardest to get those") . If your course does not have enough students it will be cancelled before the commencement and you will be informed.
