Pasta Making

Do you love pasta? And did you always want to make pasta yourself? Join us at SGSCC for our pasta-making workshop and learn how to make pasta from scratch. In this cooking class, you will learn the different techniques of rolling your pasta dough by using hand and electric pasta machines and hand-rolled pasta. We will do a variety of different pasta shapes accompanied by some classic Italian pasta sauces and sugos. You will be taught step by step how to make pasta dishes like delicious linguini with mussels, garlic chilli white wine and fresh herbs, spaghetti with pork and fennel sausage cherry tomatoes and lots of basil, ravioli with roasted pumpkin ricotta spinach and not forgetting the perfect potato gnocchi with a beautiful tomato and basil sauce.

You will learn tips on how to store your fresh pasta at home. Wow, your family and friends with homemade pasta with creamy sauce and topped with freshly grated parmesan cheese. Created by yourself and freshly made! Your friends and family will love your new pasta dishes! Learn some tips and tricks and get inspired to create your flavoured pasta and cook all Italian favourites or add a modern twist to it!

What to bring:

  • 2 Tea Towels
  • Dish Cloth
  • Apron
  • Take away container for any leftovers
  • Pen to take notes

Please ensure you wear closed in shoes, long pants and ensure long hair is tied back.

About the Tutor:

'Maria has worked in the food industry for over 20 years as a chef. She has gained a wealth of knowledge in many different hospitality environments. In restaurants both here in Australia and overseas, in food production for a dessert company and private catering specializing in organic vegetarian dishes. She has a passion for cooking home-style comfort food. Along with her experience in the food industry, and love of teaching, she has created several classes taught at SGSCC, from “Pasta Making” and “Cooking with Vegetables” from scratch to a class filled with “High Tea Delights” and many more.'

  • To ensure resources are ready for you at the start of your course, we ask you ideally enrol at least one week before the course commences.
  • All courses need a minimum number of students to run ("we try our hardest to get those") . If your course does not have enough students it will be cancelled prior to the commencement and you will be informed.
