Crafting with paper is a fun and relaxing activity with immense versatility, from card making to home décor. The creative possibilities of paper creations are endless. It is inexpensive and suitable for all levels of crafters. This workshop focuses on creating paper flowers, leaves, small birds and butterflies as well as decorating a plaster pot. Paper craft techniques, including different ways of creating flowers, leaves, small birds and butterflies, floral tape application and decoupage, will be introduced during this hands-on workshop.

These techniques involve a combination of cutting, folding, layering, gluing and taping that enable you to create your own artistic floral decorations. A plaster pot will be provided in this course, allowing you to learn and practise decoupage during the class. You can take home your handmade creations after the workshop. No prior experience is required to attend this workshop. All tools and materials will be provided.

• Choice of materials and tools suitable for this project
• Various of cutting, shaping and texturing techniques to create paper flower petals, leaves, birds and butterflies
• Decoupage technique
• Effective methods of flower stem wrapping

About the Tutor:

‘Vivian completed her arts and crafts training in Hong Kong and attained her Bachelor of Arts and Graduate Certificate in TESOL from University of Wollongong. She has over 25 years’ experience as an ESL and craft tutor in Australia, working with culturally diverse school aged children and adults. Vivian is passionate about sharing her craft knowledge and techniques with her students. Among them are Young Achievement Australia Business Skills Program multi-award winners who designed, made and sold quilling cards. Vivian tutors handcraft courses in community colleges and WEA Sydney and has earned 5-star ratings for her craft courses and teaching.'
