Paper Craft Workshop - Easter Theme - New! St George & Sutherland Community College

Paper Craft Workshop - Easter Theme - New!

Crafting with paper is fun, relaxing and inexpensive, an inventive way to express your creativity. The possibilities of paper creations are endless. This special hands-on workshop will focus on transforming paper into cute, decorative 3D Easter decorations, such as Easter bunnies, eggs and egg baskets. Paper craft techniques taught in this course to construct these decorations include quilling, origami and decoupage. These techniques are the most popular and versatile methods of creating paper artworks. Quilling is a form of paper art where strips of paper are rolled to make coils and shapes and assembled to create exquisite embellishments and ornaments.

Origami is a process of folding and creasing a sheet of square paper to form an amazing paper sculpture without the need for gluing or cutting. Decoupage, a French word which means to cut out, is a decorating technique where pictures are cut out and glued onto a plain surface of an object to enhance visual appeal. After the workshop, you will be able to take all your handmade creations home with you and use your newly learnt paper craft skills to create your own designs at home. No prior experience is required to attend this workshop. All tools and materials will be provided.
