Paper Craft Workshop

Crafting with paper is a fun and relaxing activity with immense versatility, from card making to home décor. The creative possibilities of paper creations are endless. It is inexpensive, inventive and suitable for beginners.

In this workshop, you will be introduced to popular paper craft techniques, such as origami, paper quilling and Iris folding. These techniques involve a combination of cutting, folding, layering, gluing and taping paper. Samples of artistic paper craft creations integrating multiple paper craft techniques will be shown in the workshop to inspire you to make your own wonderful paper creation during this hands-on workshop. You will have the opportunity to take home your handmade creations after the workshop and use your newly learnt paper craft skills to continue creating paper artworks at home. No prior experience is required to attend this workshop. All tools and materials will be provided.

About the Tutor:

‘Vivian completed her arts and crafts training and has taught English and Arts and Crafts in schools in Hong Kong for 6 years. She also attained her Bachelor of Arts and Graduate Certificate in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) from University of Wollongong. She has over 20 years’ experience as an ESL and craft tutor, working with culturally diverse school aged children and adults. Among her craft students are Young Achievement Australia Business Skills Program multi-award winners who designed, made and sold quilling cards. After relocating from Wollongong to Sydney, Vivian has been a craft tutor in community colleges and WEA Sydney, and has earned 5-star ratings for her craft courses and teaching from her students.'

  • To ensure resources are ready for you at the start of your course, we ask you ideally enrol at least one week before the course commences.
  • All courses need a minimum number of students to run ("we try our hardest to get those") . If your course does not have enough students it will be cancelled before to the commencement and you will be informed.
