Floral Art - Intermediate
This Floral Art Course is a continuation of Floral Art Beginners. In this course, you will use all the basics you’ve learned in the Beginner’s course and extend your skills within a creative and fun environment. Arrangements will be more complex and you will use your artistic skills by working with fewer flowers. Within this course, you will also make arrangements for special occasions and holidays such as Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and we’ll give you inspiration for the different seasons and decorations that will make your home cosy and get you in the right mood and make your home look beautiful. No matter whether it’s for your home or a present for your loved ones, making beautiful flower arrangements will make a great difference and lighten up your mood.
Please note this is not a Commercial Floristry course.
Course Outline:
- Create new beautiful floral designs week by week
- Get knowledge of which flowers are in season and work with them
- Create arrangements for special occasions e.g. Christmas, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day etc.
Learning Outcome:
- Learn how to buy the best fresh flowers and look after them
- Learn how to make the most out of your flowers in your arrangements
- Learn how to create more complex arrangements
- Learn how to make great arrangements also by using fewer flowers
- Getting artistic and creative
What to bring:
- Pen and paper to write down what flowers you will have to bring for the next lesson
- A pair of flower cutters
- You will be advised as to what flowers to bring for classes after week one
About the Tutor:
Judy has been a tutor with SGSCC for 40 years. She is a qualified florist in floristry design. Judy keeps her skills up to date by attending many seminars and workshops. She also encourages her students to see as many flower shows and related art shows as they can to get inspiration and new ideas for their pieces, creating floral art.

- To ensure resources are ready for you at the start of your course, we ask you ideally enrol at least one week before the course commences.
- All courses need a minimum number of students to run ("we try our hardest to get those") . If your course does not have enough students it will be cancelled before the commencement and you will be informed.
