Creative Paper Crafts St George & Sutherland Community College

Creative Paper Crafts

Paper craft is a form of hand-made art creation. This course allows you to explore and experience paper craft making. During the course, you will learn popular paper craft techniques such as origami, paper quilling and Iris folding. Origami is a Japanese paper folding technique that transforms a sheet of square paper into a 3D ornament. Paper quilling involves rolling paper strips to form coils and assembling them with glue to create beautiful embellishments. Iris folding is a Dutch paper craft method involving cutting, folding, layering and taping different coloured or patterned paper strips to create a unique artistic spiral effect. Combining these techniques, you will be able to make a variety of lovely and impressive paper crafts.
