Boxing Fitness

This Boxing class suits all fitness levels. We use the basic techniques of boxing tailored to all participants. this total body workout employs many major and minor muscles in the body giving you an all-over workout. It will increase muscle strength, tone your whole body, plus improve your cardio fitness.

Using boxing gloves and focus pads you and your partner will take turns boxing, combining boxing and exercise in a fun environment. It is a stress-busting activity to suit everyone who wants to enjoy boxing training without getting hit. It combines the use of aerobic and anaerobic energy systems with the recruitment of both fast and slow-twitch muscle fibers that ensures a diverse workout. It also enhances hand-eye coordination, balance, and timing and you’ll improve your cardio fitness.

Course Outline:

  • Weeks 1 and 2 – Learn the fundamentals
  • Weeks 3 and 4 – Perfect your boxing style
  • Weeks 5 to 10 – Each week the intensity increases, developing your fitness

What to bring:

  • Towel
  • Water
  • You need to bring your Boxing gloves
  • You also need to bring your own Boxing Hand Wraps (see example below) - these will protect your hands. These can be purchased from Rebel or a similar retail outlet.

Other Information:

  • To ensure resources are ready for you at the start of your course, we ask you ideally enrol at least one week before the course commences.
  • All courses need a minimum number of students to run ("we try our hardest to get those") . If your course does not have enough students it will be cancelled before the commencement and you will be informed.
