Yoga for Managing Stress - An Introduction

Learn about and experience effective and practical yoga techniques for managing stress in your life. Includes a 20 minute Home Yoga Practice for you to take home and practice daily to reduce stress and increase your health and well being.

Course Outline:

  • Open Discussion on transforming the negative impacts of stress on our lives, mind and body
  • Includes, gentle stretches, breathing techniques, meditation and deep relaxation practices
  • Experience more peace of mind and positive mental focus
h4. What to bring:

Bring yoga mat, towel and/or blanket, note pad. It is recommended not to eat two hours prior to class.

Additional Information:

All pregnant students should inform their teachers before commencing class.

About the Tutor:

"I have been living a yogic lifestyle for over 27 years, based on a calming presence and peace. With my own personal experience with integrating yoga into my life for enriched daily living I bring a wealth of knowledge into the fun and relaxed classes I teach at SGSCC. I have undertaken Yoga training in Australia, India and New Zealand, including studies on Ayurveda the sister Health Science of Yoga.

Krsnangi, is the name I am known by in the yoga world. My focus is community and I use my counselling and pastoral care skills in many varying volunteer roles to engage in and contribute to the local community. I am a creative soul who loves to dance, sing, write poetry and have even recorded a Meditation and Music CD.

Apart from my extensive Yoga Teacher training, I love studying and learning to enhance skills. Some of my current qualifications and awards include:

  • Certificate of Energetic Healing
  • Certificate in Clinical Pastoral Education Specialising in Mental Health and Aged Care
