Singing for Everyone - Intermediate

During the course, the students will learn how to bring their beginner knowledge to an intermediate level, working on the production, support and pojection of the sound Learning what happens in the body while using the correct breathing singing. The theory will be then followed by specific exercises that will teach the students how to put in practice the solid breathing technique and how to sing and develop their vocal range. Learn how to improve your range and your confidence through exercise that will teach you how to sing free using the whole body to feel relaxed and enjoy.The first half of the course is dedicated to combine the practice and the technique to help the student on finding out their voice, their talent, and to get the most out of the exercises. For the second half of the course the focus will be on helping the students choosing the best individual songs. The course is opened to all levels of students, including studying or starting from zero. The course is indicated for students who have already a beginner level of knowledge of the singing, breathing and vocal technique. You will work on exercises to improve and develop your range and freedom while singing.

About the Tutor:

'Born and raised in Naples, Rocco 33, has been studying since the young age of 12 with Maestra Alessandra Lepore, with Borrelli Morgan and Noemi Nadelmann. In 2004 entered the Conservatorium of Music of Naples and the same year performed for the Opening of Marcia Hine’s concert. Rocco has been performing in different Opera productions like 'Moses in Egypt’and ‘I due Figaro’ for the 2006 Rossini Opera Festival (Germany). In 2008 I performed in the role of Amelia’s Servant and the first judge in the Opera ‘Un ballo in Maschera’ at the Mauro Pagano Opera Theatre. In December 2010 I sang in a serial of Operetta shows as ‘Follie del Cafe’ Chantant' at Troisi Opera theatre of Naples with the most famous show girl and actress Patrizia Pellegrino. In 2011 I sang in the musical ‘Maria di Nazareth’ as Zaccaria at Torino at Alfieri Opera Theatre, in Catanzaro (Calabria) at Politeama Opera Theatre, in Novara at the Coccia Opera Theatre. In 2012 I was selected to enter the Sanremo Song Festival Academy and classified himself in the finalists.

In 2014 Rocco won a Scholarship with Pacific Opera and performed in the Opera ‘The Gondoliers’ in the role of Marco, at the Riverside Theatre, participated at Gale Edwards Masterclass and in different concerts in the State Library. From 2015-18 I have been performing as chorister in different Opera Australia’s productions like ‘The Eighth Wonder’, ‘parsifal’, 'Requiem and ‘Aida’. I also performed as a quest in different shows and events like the 2018 Italian Opera Foundation Gala concert and at the 2018 Lebanese Chamber of Commerce Award. I’m currently performing in the Opera Australia production of The Owl and The Pussycat by The Light of the Moon in NSW Schools in the role of the Three Blind Mice and Old King Cole.' Rocco
