Shampoo & Conditioner Bars

Solid Shampoo and Conditioner Bars are a long-lasting, eco-friendly, and travel-safe option for hair care. Made with a combination of gentle surfactants to provide lots of lather and cleansing, they can also include some luxury extras to pamper and care for your hair – making a 2-in-1 total haircare bar.

There’s a couple of different ways to make shampoo and conditioners which we talk about in class (either melting the ingredients completely & pouring, or just heating the ingredients & pressing), and the booklet contains a few different starter formulations.

What you will make:

  • Students get to make 1 type of solid shampoo bar, choosing additives to suit their specific hair type – the recipe they make will give them 2 shampoo bars to take away. We usually tend to make the pressed shampoo bars, as it’s a technique they may not have come across before.

  • They will also get to make a solid conditioner bar, again taking away 2 bars with them.

What to bring:

  • Please bring a pen with you to take notes
