Preserves & Pickles

Learn how to produce your very own Preserves and Pickles. In this hands on class you will learn the different techniques used to preserve seasonal fruit and vegetables and the history behind it. Turn your preserves into the perfect gift or just enjoy eating them all year round!

What to bring:

  • 2 × 250ml preserving glass jars
  • 3 × 150ml preserving glass jars
  • T- Towels

Sample menu:

  • Drying – Oven dried tomatoes, Herbs, Fruit chips
  • Sugaring – Tomato chilli jam, Stone fruit compote, Berry jam and Candied chillies
  • Fermentation – Yoghurt, Kimchi
  • Salting – Preserved Lemons
  • Pickling – Pickled carrots, chillies and Antipasto Vegetable
