Pilates Plus - An Introduction

Let’s get you fit by increasing your cardiovascular fitness, improve your muscle strength and tone the foundational ‘core’ Abdominal and Back muscles using matwork pilates techniques to ensure the body is well balanced. Hand weights, body weight, pilates chi balls and resistance bands are used to get you Fit, Strong & Toned. Suitable for all ages & fitness levels.

What to bring:

Please bring a floor mat or towel and water bottle.

About the Tutor:

"I focus on teaching group exercise classes focused on strengthening bones & increasing muscle mass. I believe functional movement increases range of motion & flexibility, while gentle movement aids with arthritis pain & stiffness.

I have had the pleasure of working in the fitness industry since 2009, teaching group exercise classes designed for Older Adults on both land and in the water (aqua & hydrotherapy). I enjoy keeping fit & motivating others to continue their fitness journey while also striving to improve health, strength & flexibility in a fun & positive environment.

Some of my current qualifications include: Registered Level 2 Exercise Professional with Fitness Australia, Specialised Older Adults Trainer , Certificate III, IV & Diploma of Fitness, Accredited teacher for Group Exercise, Personal Training, Aqua Trainer, St George Hospital’s Strengthening for over 60’s Trainer, Boxing Skills Trainer, Stepping On & Falls Prevention Programs, Trainer & Assessor teaching CPR & First Aid for Surf Life Saving NSW.
