Narrative Writing - Literacy Devices, Vocabulary & Punctuation Workshop - Years 5 & 6

This practical workshop will teach the student effective strategies and practical applications on how to communicate effectively, through imaginative texts, using considered language to entertain for Stage 3.

Workshop Learning Intentions:

The student will learn how to…

  • create well-structured and well-presented written imaginative texts in terms of topic, purpose, audience, and language by drafting, proofreading, and editing for familiar and unfamiliar audiences.
  • recognise the representation of characters, settings, and events in imaginative texts.
  • use expanded vocabulary, grammatical patterns, complex sentence structures, cohesive links, and literary devices effectively.
