Narrative Writing - Literacy Devices, Vocabulary & Punctuation Workshop - Years 3 & 4

This practical workshop will teach the student effective strategies and practical applications on how to communicate expressively and clearly with growing proficiency about ideas for Stage 2.

Workshop Learning Intentions:

The student will learn how to…

  • create well-structured imaginative texts in terms of topic, purpose, audience, and language by drafting, proofreading, and editing for familiar and unfamiliar audiences.
  • recognise the representation of characters, settings, and events in imaginative texts.
  • use simple and complex sentences, paragraphing, punctuation, and grammatical features characteristic of the various texts to support meaning.
  • explain and reflect on how they structure their writing to achieve intended purposes. This content may vary slightly depending on student’s individual needs
