Learn French for Beginners

In this course you will learn to speak the fascinating language of French with passion in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Learn about living in France whilst mastering words, constructing sentences and discovering the how’s and why’s of the French language and people.

In France we call the topic of learning a new language “langue Vivante” - translated to English it means “tongue alive”. If you don’t learn it, the art can die, and to keep a language alive you need to learn and practise it! We will use the book as a basic tool to refer to, but during the classes, we will use multitudes of material audio and hard copies and we listen to music and have fun with games.

Course Outline:

During the 16 week course, you will navigate through different modules of basic language learning.

In the first week, you will focus on sounds, the alphabet and pronunciation of words.

As we progress through 16 weeks you will learn:

  • The magic touch of assigning female or male to any French words
  • Greetings and introducing yourselves
  • Reading time
  • Giving directions
  • Describing a situation
  • Asking questions and so much more

At the end of the 16 weeks, you will be speaking basic French and enjoy having fun with a new language.

Come and get hooked and grow your love of France!
