Learn Arabic for Travellers

Arabic is the official language of many countries, including Egypt, Lebanon and the UAE to name a few. If you are planning or intending to travel to Arabic speaking countries, this course will enable you to learn to the basics of Arabic and immerse yourself in the Arabic culture.

SGSCC Travellers courses aim to give you confidence to deal with everyday situations during your travel, e.g. booking accommodation, ordering meals, asking for directions or assistance and conversational skills for shopping.

About the Tutor:

"As a personable, enthusiastic Arabic language teacher I have experience in teaching a diverse range of students from young children through to senior citizens, from beginner to advanced levels.
I have 4 years of experience teaching Arabic at Sydney Community College and St. George Sutherland Community College. In my class, I am enjoy engaging students in a dynamic and fun context, whilst encouraging participation by adapting my teaching style to the needs of the students.

With a Bachelor of Education (Adult Education) and a Diploma in Education Support, I love to organise comprehensive lesson plans with the view to teaching students reading, writing, and speaking the Arabic language, and like to include culture, history, geography and even the forbidden topics of politics and religion into classes.

  • To ensure resources are ready for you at the start of your course, we ask you ideally enrol at least one week before the course commences.
  • All courses need a minimum number of students to run ("we try our hardest to get those") . If your course does not have enough students it will be cancelled prior to the commencement and you will be informed.
