‘OK fellas, this one is just for you’. It is time to get that body into shape so you can enjoy many years of healthy living or active retirement. Remember, it’s never too late to stay active and healthy and start a healthy lifestyle. Decrease your risk of heart disease and start exercising. So, join us at SGSCC for this fun men fitness class which suits all fitness levels! We will cover all facets of exercise, including weight training and cardio exercises.

Not only are the sessions easy to follow, but by allowing you to alter the intensity of each station to suit each individual, this form of circuit training is a great workout for all levels. By ensuring a strong focus on building good exercise technique, not only will this class ensure you exercise safely but it will also help to maximise mobility and minimise any pain and injuries that you may experience in day to day life allowing you to enjoy life to the fullest and maintain improved fitness.

Course Outline:

This group exercise class is a circuit class designed for older people. We will focus on:

  • Building good exercise techniques and movement patterns
  • Maintaining and improving mobility
  • Use a combination of cardio machines along with aerobic exercises (boxing, ropes) and some lifting weight stations

About the Tutor:

Lewis South has a long association with health and fitness, having been a Rugby League referee for 18 years. After a successful 21-year career in the Finance Industry, Lewis embarked on a new career to help people who feel uncomfortable in traditional gym environments and older people rediscover fitness, and with it a healthier lifestyle. Besides teaching fitness classes at SGSCC, Lewis runs his own fitness company Be Your Best Health and Fitness.
Lewis has a Certificate III and IV in Fitness from iPT Australia, one of the leading educators of fitness professionals in the Australia and New Zealand region with a special focus and passion in training mums and older adults, helping them become the best version of themselves they can possibly be.

  • To ensure resources are ready for you at the start of your course, we ask you ideally enrol at least one week before the course commences.
  • All courses need a minimum number of students to run ("we try our hardest to get those") . If your course does not have enough students it will be cancelled prior to the commencement and you will be informed.
