Vegan food is becoming more and more popular and research is showing us that it’s good for the body and environment to cut down on meat consumption. This course will allow you to gain insight into making delicious warm winter food that does not contain meat.

Course Outline:

Learn how to cook simple, healthy, and filling warm winter recipes;

  • RECIPE1: Indian Red Lentil Dahl
  • RECIPE 2: Mushroom & Garlic Pappardelle Pasta
  • RECIPE 3: Vegan Shepard’s Pie
  • RECIPE 4: Creamy Potato Soup with Caramelised Onion and Hazelnuts

Learning Outcomes:

  • Students will learn how to make four healthy and hardy warm winter meals
  • Students will learn about the plant-based alternatives to some classic dishes
  • Students will gain knowledge in how to prepare/cook different types of traditional hot meals

What to bring:

  • Closed in shoes and an apron
  • Chopping board and sharp knife
  • 4 x small or medium takeaway containers

Safety First:

Please ensure you wear closed-in shoes, long pants and ensure long hair is tied back.

About the Tutor:

'Hanna has worked in hospitality for over 10 years and this is where she found her love of food and cooking. While not always working in kitchens she started her cooking journey on superyachts in Europe when she was asked to assist the Chef and then became the crew cook shortly after. Since then she has worked on superyachts in Sydney as a cook, created a vegan cookbook for a boot camp weight loss program, catered small events, and worked with companies as a food stylist/ cook to create beautiful meals for online eBooks. Hanna believes that cooking can be simple and delicious if you use a little creativity. She loves cooking vegan food because of this aspect and has been working on numerous vegan recipes to convert even the biggest of meat eaters!'
