Circuit Training

Do you want to increase your fitness level, exercise more and start living a healthy lifestyle to decrease heart disease and stop gaining weight? Join us at SGSSS for this fun fitness class! Exercise, burn fat, get toned and feel great. Enjoy an energizing all-over workout involving a combination of light resistance exercises, high-intensity aerobic exercises and cardio-machines (cycling, skiing, boxing, rowing). Not only are the sessions easy to follow, but by allowing you to alter the intensity of each station to suit everyone, circuit training is a great workout for all levels of fitness.

Circuit training not only is great for weight loss and general wellbeing, but by adding in light resistance stations it is also great for improving physical endurance, increasing metabolism and improving muscle tone. Our circuit training programs are led by qualified and experienced instructors who will guide and motivate you through your 60 min workout. Gain muscle mass, lose body fat and try that combination of high-intensity interval training by increasing your heart rate and boosting your metabolism.

Course Outline:

The exact make-up of the circuit class will alter throughout the term, ensuring that the class not only remains fresh but also remains challenging as your fitness levels increase.
Exercises stations may include:

  • Cardio machines such as bike, treadmill, rowing machine, skiing
  • Aerobic exercises such as boxing, battle ropes
  • Resistance stations including squatting, rowing, push-ups, bicep curls

Learning Outcomes:

  • Increase overall fitness levels
  • Improve muscle tone and burn fat
  • Improve functional movement patterns (such as squatting)

What to bring:

  • Water
  • A sweat towel
  • Comfortable clothing
  • BYO Boxing Gloves

Other Information:

  • To ensure resources are ready for you at the start of your course, we ask you ideally enrol at least one week before the course commences.
  • All courses need a minimum number of students to run ("we try our hardest to get those") . If your course does not have enough students it will be cancelled before the commencement and you will be informed.
