BSB42015 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management

This course will train you to monitor health and safety, implement an operational plan, manage projects, promote team effectiveness and show leadership in the workplace. This course would suit you if you are placed in the first line of management. It is highly valued by organisations in both the public and private sectors, also for new managers working at the frontline, such as supervisors and team leaders, who may have technical skills but require development in people management.

What you need to know about this course:

  • Classes commence at the beginning of week 1 of each school term
  • Students will be accepted into the class throughout the term
  • You will need to plan for approximately 6-8 hours a week at home to complete assessment tasks
  • There is no training during school holidays
  • Private Facebook groups are used to share resources and learning
  • Resources are provided by SGSCC

Course entry requirements:

  • There are no formal educational requirements for entry into this course
  • Recognition for units may be granted based on previous learning, studies, work and/or life experiences

Do you need to complete any work-placement hours?

  • No, this course offers a simulated learning environment within SGSCC.

Will you need to sit for any exams?

  • No. This is a competency-based course
  • Tell us then show us you understand and are able to implement the learning you have received
  • You will be required to competently complete assessment tasks for all 12 units of learning

Assessments are made up by a range of:

  • Case studies
  • Demonstration
  • Observation
  • Portfolio of evidence
  • Presentation
  • Questions & answers
  • Research report

To be deemed competent:

  • You will receive clear assessment instructions
  • You must complete all assessments to a satisfactory standard as set by your trainer
  • These are assessed by your trainer
  • Opportunities will be provided for trainers to support students and to resubmit their assessments if required

When you have completed and been deemed competent you can:

  • Progress with SGSCC to the BSB50215 Diploma of Business, or BSB51915 Diploma of Leadership & Management.

Your course fees & payment options:

  • $1,850 (maximum Smart & Skilled student fee)
  • $4,000 (fee for those who are ineligible for Smart & Skilled)
  • Pay in full or by Interest-free monthly payment plan
  • By Cash, EFTPOS, Visa or MasterCard
