Cardio Boxing

Want a high intensity cardio workout that is fun at the same time? Then join us at SGSCC for this fun group exercise class! Boxing is not only a great calorie burner, but it is super fun and a great stress reliever as well. Our cardio boxing class combines boxing using focus pads with high intensity cardio machines (rower, bike, ski) and a special focus on building core strength to give you a great full body workout and stress relief! Boxing is great for all levels of fitness and abilities. As well as burning fat and increasing physical fitness and endurance, our cardio-boxing class will also help you tone your body and improve your metabolism.

Boxing gloves can be supplied or we recommend you bring your own each week.

Course Outline:

Each session consists of several rounds of boxing, with each round different, along with a couple of rounds on cardio machines and a round of core exercises. You will alternate between boxing and padding for another person.

  • Good boxing techniques
  • Improved fitness levels and stamina
  • Muscle toning and fat burning
  • Improved core strength and endurance

What to bring:

  • We recommend you bring your own gloves though gloves can be supplied
  • Inner gloves to wear with the boxing gloves
  • Sweat towel
  • Water

About the Tutor:

Lewis South has a long association with health and fitness, having been a Rugby League referee for 18 years. After a successful 21 year career in the Finance Industry, Lewis embarked on a new career to help people who feel uncomfortable in traditional gym environments and older people rediscover fitness, and with it a healthier lifestyle. Besides teaching fitness classes at SGSCC, Lewis runs his own fitness company Be Your Best Health and Fitness.
Lewis has a Certificate III and IV in Fitness from iPT Australia, one of the leading educators of fitness professionals in the Australia and New Zealand region with a special focus and passion in training mums and older adults, helping them become the best version of themselves they can possibly be.
